WATERHOUSE, Helen M. (Butler)Helen M. (Butler) Waterhouse, 79, of Windsor, wife of the late Clifford L. Waterhouse, died Thursday, (November 13, 2003) at Sunrise Assisted Living, West Hartford. Born in Springfield, MA, daughter of the late George and Helen (Lucius) Butler. She had lived in Thompsonville before moving to Windsor 58 years ago. She and her late husband had started and operated the Thrifty Shopper in Windsor and she retired from Connecticut Mutual Life Insurance Company. She was involved in scouting when her sons were young, she was a member of the First Church in Windsor, Congregational, a member of the Prudential Board and First Church Women's Group. She was a member of the Order of the Rose, Beta Sigma Phi International and a volunteer with Meals-on-Wheels in Windsor. She leaves two sons and a daughter-in-law, Rick Waterhouse of Windsor, Brian and Susan Waterhouse of Windsor Locks; six grandchildren, Sheri Dunn, Kristi Forster, Lindsay Waterhouse, Allison Waterhouse, Eliina and Kaarina Waterhouse; two great grandchildren, Jacob Forster and Riley Dunn; two brothers and a sister-in-law, Herbert and Ruth Butler of Enfield and George Butler of Springfield, MA. Her family will receive friends Thursday evening November 20, from 5-6 p.m., followed by a memorial service at 6 p.m. at the Carmon Windsor Funeral Home, 807 Bloomfield Ave., Windsor. Burial will be in Windsor Veterans Memorial Cemetery at the convenience of the family. In lieu of flowers, memorial donations may be made to a charity of the donor's choice.
