Funeral services will be at 3 pm Saturday in Harper-Talasek Funeral Chapel for Ballard Tankersley, 80, a former Killeen resident. Burial will be in the Killeen City Cemetery.
Tankersley was found dead in his Houston home Thursday. A Harris County investigator said he had been dead for several days. There was no evidence of foul play, according to the investigator.
A retired employee of the Killeen Post Office, Tankersley had lived in Houston for the past eight years. He is survived by a son Richard Foy Tankersley of Houston; a daughter, Mrs. Lanell Hughes of Louisiana, and three grandchildren.
