Survived by: one daughter - Jean (husband Mike) Neale of Athens; one son - Charles R. "Chuck" Eden of Athens; one grandson - Shane Koch; one granddaughter - Alysse Marie Eden; one great-granddaughter - Kassidy Koch; Three brothers - Robert Eden of Athens; John Eden of Petersburg; Floyd Eden of Springfield. Several nieces and nephews.
Mr. Eden was born in Athens on April 11, 1919, the son of Albert and Edith Hayden Eden. He married Doroles (sic) "Toots" on October 18, 1949. She preceded him in death in 1992. He also was preceded in death by two brothers, Albert and Eugene Eden. Mr. Eden was a World War II veteran in the U.S. Army. He was a member of the Athens VFW Post 5302. Mr. Eden was a self-employed mechanic for several years retiring in 1986.
