Harriet Laverne High [Parents] was born on 5 Feb 1924 in Tuscola, Taylor Co., TX. She died on 24 Feb 1999 in Houston, Harris Co., TX. She married Wilbur Curtis Beck. The marriage ended in divorce.

She married 7 times at least. She may have died in Galveston Co, TX, but since her dying wish was to
ignore her family, we don't really know. She was an alcoholic and a heavy smoker. She deserted her
1st husband and only living child, Lynda Kaye, when Lynda was a baby. LaVerne lost two other children
and it was said she had something to do with this loss.

One time she gave my mother several things that belonged to my great grandmother, Mildred Salmon,
and then after mom got home, LaVerne called and asked to have them back.
LaVerne changed her Will 3 times, and in the end left everything to a neighbor. (written by Curtis Todd Young, Dallas, TX - 2006)

They had the following children:

F i Lynda Kay Beck was born on 1 Jan 1944.
