CHARLES R. SMITH
Charles Richard Smith, 89, died yesterday in a Modesto hospital after a long illness. A native of Colorado, he had been a resident of Modesto for 46 years. He was a member of the Unity Church and the Modesto Senior Citizen Inc. Survivors include a sister, Mary Plagg of Modesto. Services are pending in the Franklin & Downs Funeral Home.
