Eldon "Dutch" Garrett, a retired police officer for the Fort Worth Police Department, died Sunday at a Fort Worth hospital. He was 84. Funeral will be at 11:30 am tomorrow at Lucas & Moore Funeral Home on Brentwood Stair Road. Entombment will be in Greenwood Mausoleum.
Mr. Garrett was born in Kennedale and was a lifelong area resident. He was a member of the Masonic Lodge and Polytechnic United Methodist Church.
Survivors: Wife, Enna Mae (sic) Garrett of Fort Worth; son, Gene Garrett of Fort Worth; and sister, Grada Todd of Hurst; three granddaughters and one great-granddaughter.
